Catedrala Ortodoxa din Cluj-Napoca este o constructie ampla, monumentala, ridicata între anii 1923-1933. Edificiul îmbina forme de arhitectura româneasca cu cele de factura bizantina.
Opera a arhitectilor Constantin Pomponiu ?i George Cristinel, constructia este ridicata pe planul unui triconc cu doua turnuri pe fa?ada sudica, are o volumetrie robusta care subliniaza fiecare din functiunile spatiului interior si culmineaza cu o cupola ridicata pe un tambur cu galerie cu arcade.
Exteriorul este placat cu placi de piatra si decorat cu un repertoriu bogat de motive geometrice. Un piedestal care sustine un ?ir de coloane conduce la intrarea în catedrala. În interiorul larg se remarca tribunele ale caror parapeti sunt sculptati cu motive de inspiratie brâncoveneasca. Pictura a fost realizata de Catul Bogdan si Atanasie Demian, iar iconostasul a fost realizat cu motive brâncovenesti de G. Rusu.
