This monument to firefighters, represents a human figure (Fireman) carrying a baby in his lap to a safe place.
The monument was inaugurated in 19 of December of 1982 and was placed by the city hall to honor the Soldiers of the Peace (firefighters in Portugal are also known as Soldiers of the Peace)
