The 'Gebäude auf dem Sand' (building on the sand) in Tübingen was originally built as a hospital site. Today they are mostly used by the Eberhard Karls University of Tuebingen.
The buildings were designed in 1935 as a hospital site for the German Wehrmacht and built in the following years. From 1945 to 1982 it served as a French military hospital, from then until 1986 as the base hospital of the German Bundeswehr. From 1986 to 1990 it served various roles and was made ??available for the University of Tübingen in 1990.
The coordinates have been taken in front of the main entrance.
