The Peace River Fire Department has been active since 1914. They are a dedicated, experienced and well-trained team of men and women committed to the protection of life, property and the environment.
The Fire Department maintains a full-time Director of Protective Services/Fire Chief/EMT Deputy Chief of Operations, two EMT-P(Paramedics), two EMT/NFPA 1001's and twenty-three paid on-call members.
They are also supported by a pool of casual Paramedics and EMT's. The majority of their on-call staff are EMS trained. Numerous firefighters have trained to the EMT level. On January 1, 2004 they established an integrated Fire/EMS service.
