This is a unique artistic shop sign for a restaurant called 'Alte Post'. It is located in the Herrenberger Straße 1 in Nagold, Germany, Baden-Württenberg.
This beautiful shop sign was created in 1907. It shows a mail coach with four horses and a post horn. Furthermore, it is also depicted as a sun, because the restaurant was called originally 'Sun'.
The building was built in 1697 as a restaurant 'Sonne' (Sun). In 1807 was established at this point, a staging post on the route Stuttgart-Freudenstadt. This is the reason for the name 'Alte Post' (Old Post).
