This bridge is on the Highway 6 entrance to Port Dover. It also allows boats to pass through to Lake Erie. Port Dover's longest serving mayor, Harold J. Schneider, lobbied for the lift bridge and has a park named after him nearby. The bridge is the only way to access beach area from the east side of Port Dover.
