This is a wat, with a long history, in the centre of the northern Thai city of Nan. In its current appearance it appears to be entirely new. Fresh paint gleans from every surface, however, according to the historical plaque in the grounds the temple dates from c. 1525 A.D. There are at least two surviving early structures here, but, they are now enclosed/protected by a modern covering! Thus they cannot be seen.

The wat is easy to find. A small donation is always the thing to do when visiting.
