L’Institut de boxe chinoise offre des cours de Kung Fu à Sainte-Marthe sur le lac pour les enfants et les adultes (hommes et femmes). Le Wing Chun Kung Fu est un art martial traditionnel chinois qui fût développé vers le XVII siècle par une jeune femme nommée Yim Wing Chun. Longtemps gardé secret, ce style de Kung Fu a été popularisé dans les années 60 par le très grand Maître Ip Man. Le Wing Chun Kung-Fu est aujourd'hui l'un des styles le plus pratiqués en Chine.
La boxe chinoise est l'héritage culturel chinois rendu populaire par le célèbre Bruce Lee et est une synthèse des différents styles pratiqués en Chine (Wing Chun, Shaolin...).
Le Wing Chun, pouvant être traduit par printemps éternel, est un style de Kung Fu d'origine du sud de la Chine dédié au combat rapproché et incluant tant les mains nues que les armes. Il est historiquement un style purement interne. Dans les années soixante, Yip Man fut le premier à enseigner son style à un large public. Parmi ses élèves les plus connus de l'époque : Li Xiao Long ( Bruce Lee ) qui a participé grandement à l'évolution de ce style. Depuis la mort de Ip Man en 1972 et de Bruce Lee en 1973, le Wing Chun est devenu un des styles de Kung Fu les plus pratiqués au monde.
