BBC Cymru Wales provides a wide range of English and Welsh language content for audiences across Wales on television, radio and on their websites.
"Wales was quick to follow the formation of the British Broadcasting Company, as the BBC was originally called when it was formed in October 1922.
From humble beginnings in 1923, the BBC in Wales ushered in a new era, expanding rapidly, the staff were soon housed in larger premises at Park Place in Cardiff, and at new regional studios in Swansea, Bangor and Aberystwyth.
Since 1966 the purpose-built Broadcasting House at Llandaff has been the hub of BBC Wales' radio, TV and in recent years online services.
2011 sees the first moves of Drama productions to a new centre of excellence in Cardiff, with exciting prospects not only for audiences in Wales but the whole of the UK and indeed the world.
The 175,000 sq foot complex has nine studios, three external filming lots and is home to Casualty, Pobol y Cwm, Aliens vs Wizards as well as Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Upstairs Downstairs."
