Zruc nad Sázavou is a small town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, in the Kutná Hora District.
The first written mention of the village dates from the 1328. In 1939 the Bata Shoe Company built here a large factory for children's shoes (Sázavan). In the 70 years has been built near the town a Švihov watter reservoir that supplies watter for Prague - capital city of Czech Republic.
