CS:

• Meteorologická stanice „Horská Kvilda – Hamerský potok“ je klimatologickou stanicí urcenou predevším pro sledování teplotních extrému.

• Stanice sestává z klasické meteorologické budky umístené u potoka. Jejím hlavním vybavením je termograf a extrémní teplomery. Pozorování probíhá soucasne i v další meteorologické budce, umístené u nedaleké chalupy. Anenometr ani srážkomer nejsou soucástí této stanice.

• Meteorologická budka je jednou z pozorovacích stanic spjatých s tzv. lovci mrazu. Oblast mezi obcemi Horská Kvilda a Kvilda totiž leží v mrazové kotline a je nejstudenejším místem v Ceské republice (neoficiální namerený rekord je -41.6° C).

• S merením teplotních extrému v této oblasti zacal v sedmdesátých letech klimatologický nadšenec Antonín Vojvodík. Ten vybudoval v širším okolí patnáct pozorovacích stanic podobných této.

• Ceský Hydrometeorologický ústav (CHMÚ) dlouho nepovažoval lokální extrémy za významný fenomén z hlediska zkoumání pocasí v Ceské republice. Nejspíš k tomu prispívala odlehlost místa a fakt, že velká cást hor ležela v neprístupném hranicním pásmu. Antonín Vojvodík tak zaznamenával teplotní extrémy na vlastní pest.

• Až v roce 1990 zacal CHMÚ jednu ze stanic pana Vojvodíka využívat pro svá oficiální pozorování. Šlo o merící stanici Kvilda – Perla, která se nachází o dva kilometry jižneji u Jezerní slate. 

• V soucinnosti s CHMU byly postupne automatizovány i nekteré další stanice. Sledování teplotních extrému tak na zdejších stanicích pokracuje i dnes.

• Weather station "Horska Kvilda - Hamersky stream" is climatological station designed primarily for monitoring of temperature extremes.

• The station consists of classical Stevenson´s screen which is situated close by the Hamersky brook. The main equipment of this station consists of thermograph, barometer and extreme thermometers. The observations carried out simultaneously in another Stevenson´s screen which is located at a nearby cottage. 
  Anenometer and rain gauge is not facilities of this station.

• The weather station is one of the observation stations associated with “The hunters of freeze”. Area between the villages Kvilda and Horska  Kvilda is located in the coldest place of the Czech Republic (unofficial measured record is -41.6 ° C).

• In the seventies mr. Antonín Vojvodík, an enthusiast for climatology, began with monitoring of the weather extremes in the Šumava mountains. He built fifteen meteorological stations like this in the wider area of the Šumava mountains.

• For a long time the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI) did not consider the local extremes as a significant phenomenon for research of the weather in the Czech Republic. At that time large parts of the mountain range lay in the inaccessible border zone. This fact with the remoteness of this area contributed to this opinion. So Antonín Vojvodík himself conscientiously recorded all of the weather extremes.

• After 1989, the border zone ceased to exist and in 1990 the CHMI began using one of the Vojvodiks´stations for official observations. It was a weather station Kvilda - Perla which is located about two kilometers to the south.

• In cooperation with the CHMI other Vojvodiks´ weather stations were succesively automatized. So monitoring of the weather extremes on this local weather station continues.
