This bronze monument depicts a young man and a young woman mounted on a structure that seems to be holding a meteorite behind them. The man is holding a book in his right hand while they are walking and reaching for the sky with opposite arms. The monument is around 20 feet high.

Celebrate
300 years Saigon - HO. Ho Chi Minh
I could not find the name of the artist or the date it was created on the web. It is possible that the monument was erected in 1998 for the celebration of Saigon's 300th anniversary (300 nam Saigon).
Saigon Central Post Office is a French colonial style building constructed between 1886-1891. Inside the building, the superb metallic ceiling was designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1891. Some old maps are painted high up on the walls and there is a huge portrait of Ho Chi Minh, the country's liberator from Western colonialism.
