Main Playground - Yough River Park - Connellsville, Pennsylvania

This is one of two playgrounds in Yough Park, the other being a "tot lot". This playground was constructed in 2010-11 using Redevelopment and CDBG funds as part of the second phase of Yough Park Renovation. The park opened in 1988 as part of the anticipation of the Yough River Hike/Bike Trail (Now Great Allegheny Passage), which came to town in 1995. This structure, modeled like a ship represents Connellsville's river history. There are permanent restrooms, that will be re-opened in the summer of 2012 and two picnic pavilions nearby.
