Rycroft is known as the hub of the Peace District located at the intersection of Highway 49 and Highway 2 along with the Grande Prairie / Grande Cache Railway.
They are a small hamlet of 638 persons that are involved in a number of activities inluding agriculture at number one, followed by retail, oil and gas, transportation, and education.
