Tears came to my eyes when I stood in front of this momument, and in my mind sang my favourite hymn "For Those in Peril on the Sea."
Families and friends of Merchant Navy seamen who have no grave but the Sea, are able to remember their loved ones at a permanent memorial along Swansea’s sea front.
This Merchant Navy Association Memorial to the Ocean Crusader (HX216) and the Empire Wagtail (ONS 154) in Swansea, Wales. Many of the men lost in late 1942 from these two vessels were from the Eastside of Swansea, the memorial also commemorates all who lost their lives in the Second World war,
