"The Wild Boar, 'Y Twrch Trwyth' is part of the Ammanford Town crest and according to legend, King Arthur and his knights hunted wild boar in the Amman Valley. A number of farms and the area between Glanamman and Ammanford, ‘Glynmoch’, Glen of pigs or Valley of pigs, supports the legend of King Arthur and his hunting expeditions.
The larger than life Wild boar and the piglets have been constructed, from stainless steel & bronze, created by metal craftsman Tony Woodman, a local artist, who is based near Newcastle Emlyn."
