Bethlehem is a tiny farming village in the county of Carmarthenshire, Wales, lying in the Tywi Valley northeast of Llandeilo and southwest of Llangadog but on the opposite side of the river from the busy London to Haverfordwest road, the A40.
The centre of the village is approximately in front of the six council houses opposite the village hall, with other houses, the Primary School, and a Post Office scattered up and down the hill. The Nonconformist chapel after which the village was named is on a side road that follows the western edge of the Brecon Beacons.
Passages in Bible where Bethlehem is mentioned.
Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem, in the country of Judea. Herod was the king. After Jesus was born, wise men came from the east to Jerusalem.
Joseph also went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to the town of Bethlehem in Judea. This was David's town, and Joseph came from David's family line.
Do not the holy writings say that Christ will be of David's family? Will he not come from Bethlehem where David lived?'
Bible verse: Matthew 2:1-3 Luke 2:3-5 John 7:41-43
