Long Description:The 1940 travel guides briefly says:
"The CONFEDERATE CEMETERY contains graves of 500 soldiers, 112 of them unknown."

The cemetery entrance says "Our Soldiers Cemetery 1861-1865". The nearby historical marker says that the cemetery was dedicated on the third anniverary of "Stonewall" Jackson's death. The cemetery is actively maintained by the city.
