Made from slate, the troughs are low down for animals. To the right side is a trough on the ground which may have been at the front. On the left is a little place for short animal to drinks, probably for your dog. The centre area is now changed with the trough now covered with a rock slab. There is a spout high up but a person would need a cup to collect any water. Easier for passing horses and dogs to drink.
