The initial burial was that of Edger Eric Major who died on 15th October 1901 aged 20.

There are five other family members buried in the grave site. The father Stephen Major who was born in Ireland died aged 71 on 26 November 1913, his wife Catherine died aged 82 on 23 August 1931, daughter Ada Mabel died 1908, son Charles Moore died 20 November 1929 aged 60 & daughter Katie Myrtle who died 15 July 1932 aged 54.

The father's epitaph is worth pondering.
