NGS M 364 RESET 1998, KS, is a National Geodetic Survey (NGS) Vertical Control Mark located near the right-of-way fence on the west side of US Highway 283 about 0.1 miles south of the intersection of US Highway 283 and Road T (leading west), about eight miles south of Norton, Norton County, KS. The mark is located about 81 feet west of the centerline of US Highway 283, 3.0 feet east of a barbed-wire fence and orange Carsonite witness post, 3.0 feet north-northeast of a concrete right-of-way marker, and in the top of a round concrete monument two inches below the surface. The NGS (or its agent) set this mark in 1998 to replace metal rod M 364 (1986) (PID = KG0512), and the disk is stamped M 364 RESET 1998. It is in neither the NGS nor Geocaching database. To reach the station from the intersection of US Highway 283 and US Highway 36 on the north side of Norton, KS, go south on US Highway 283 for about 7.8 miles to Road T leading west. Continue south on US Highway 283 for about 0.1 miles to the station on the right. Recovery of this mark first reported on the Geocaching datasheet for metal rod M 364, PID = KG0512.
