Le marché Atwater est un marché public situé dans l'arrondissement du Sud-Ouest de la ville de Montréal. Ouvert depuis 1933, le marché, qui est abrité par un bâtiment de style art déco notable, se situe sur l'avenue Atwater, près du Canal de Lachine et du métro Lionel-Groulx. Il est aussi encadré des rues Sainte-Émilie et Saint-Ambroise, ainsi que de l'avenue Greene. Un pont piétonnier, qu'utilisent aussi les bicyclettes, le relie à la rue Saint-Patrick et à une piste cyclable, de l'autre côté du Canal de Lachine.
Des fermiers et des artisans de l'alimentation y vendent leurs produits. En particulier, on y trouve un grand choix de viandes, parmi lesquelles certaines sont issues de l'agriculture biologique.
Le troisième étage de l'édifice a subi des dommages lors d'un incendie majeur survenu le 7 décembre 2002 à cause de la surchauffe d'un fil de rallonge électrique
Le nom du marché provient de l'avenue Atwater, nommée en l'honneur d'Edwin Atwater (1808–1874), conseiller municipal pour le district de Saint-Antoine. La rue a pris ce nom en 1871.

The Atwater Market is a public market in the borough of South-West of the city of Montreal. Open since 1933, the market, which is housed in a building of significant art deco style, is located on Atwater Avenue, near the Lachine Canal and the Lionel-Groulx metro. It is also box of Ste-Emilie and St. Ambrose, and Greene Avenue. A pedestrian bridge, also used by bicycles, connects to the St. Patrick Street and a bike path, on the other side of the Lachine Canal.
Farmers and food producers sell their products. In particular, we find a great selection of meats, some of which are from organic farming.
The third floor of the building suffered damage during a major fire Dec. 7, 2002 due to an overheated electrical extension cord
The name of the market comes from Atwater Avenue, named in honor of Edwin Atwater (1808-1874), councilor for the district of Saint-Antoine. The street was so named in 1871.
