This marker is dedicated to 18th Tennessee Infantry is in recognition of their service during the
Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 19–20, 1863. This is the only marker to the 18th Tennessee Infantry on the battlefield. It marks their location at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 20, 1863.
