The Minnamurra River is short in length as the Great Dividing Range is close to the coastal fringe in this region. The river drains the Jamberoo Valley.
Its estuary is shallow & fringed with mangrove swamps, the village of Minnamurra & sandy beaches. The average depth of the river is only one metre which is a reflection of the estuary section. The waters are exceptionally clear & the white sands of its bed in the estuary attract swimmers & kayakers.
The bar at the river's mouth is dangerous particularly at low tide due to its depth, speed of flow & narrowness.
I took the co-ordinates on the rocky foreshore on the southern side, at low tide & approx. 10 metres from the mouth. At high tide that location would be about a metre under water.
You can park nearby & walk along the shoreline to the mouth.
