We can to find a remnants of the castle Jencová in central parts of Bohemia. We don't know when and by whom it was founded. The castle is also sometimes named as Jincov or Jenicov.

It was probably one of the smallest castle in Bohemia. It was one of the hunting castle of King Wenceslas I. It comes about from 13th century. The castle Jencov was built east of castle Krivoklát (visit link) and north of the city of Beroun (visit link) between high wooded hills on the rock. The rock was protected by stream Vuznice, when water more flooded created around the castle natural moat.

It was a small castle. The remnants of stone walls have two parts: a rectangular building and the square tower, built above and separate from the living quarters. This building is entered through the first floor of a wooden bridge. Yet well-preserved stone walls have traces of flat ceilings. The ground floor of living quarters are still visible two rooms, one of which is still in the side wall of the arched window. The entire building a castle was about 17 meters long and 9 meters wide.

When and why Castle Jencová was abandoned is unknown.

Zbytky hradu Jencová najdeme v centrální cásti Cech. Nevíme, kdy a kým byl založen. Hrad je také nekdy jmenován jako Jincov nebo Jenicov.

Pravdepodobne to byl jeden z nejmenších hradu v Cechách. Byl to jeden z loveckých hrádku krále Václava I. Hrad Jencov byl postaven na skále východne od hradu Krivoklát a na sever od mesta Beroun mezi vysokými zalesnenými kopci. Skála je chránena potokem Vuznice, který tvoril kolem hradu prírodní príkop.

Zbytky kamenných zdí mají dve cásti: obdélníkové stavby a ctvercová vež, postavenou nad a oddelenou od obytnou cásti. Dobre zachované kamenné zdi nesou stopy plochých stropu. V prízemí obytného objektu jsou stále zretelné dve místnosti. Celý objekt hradu byl asi 17 m dlouhý a 9 metru široký.

Kdy a proc byl hrad Jencov opušten není známo.
