Hear say, no plaque. This garden is dedicated to those who were relocated during World War II. Placer County has a history of Japanese who raised the fruit and ag crops here.

This is at the far edge of campus to the north. It is possible to drive on a one way loop (that generally reads Staff Parking only, but includes handicapped parking). Parking in the student lots is $2/ day.
Between Weaver Hall, near Winstead Bldg. it is NOT on the YAR map.
It has a gate, metal/bamboo fence on one side!, welded lanterns, a water/gravel feature, and the name stone.
From the campus side, there are steps!
Many of the Japanese youth who came home from relocation camps, continued as teachers and a significant number of doctors.
Those who enlisted were renown as the 442nd which served in Europe and took extreme casualties.
No distinctions were made between 2nd generation, those born in the US and those who were not. The Nesei were the first children born in the US, then the Issei. As a people, they try to create beauty where ever they are and harmony.
