Long Description:
This wat is not overly large, but it is the major temple of this town. The prominence of the temple is due to its antiquity. There is a statue to a major local figure of the 13th century, King Khun Bang Klang Thao. Also a tree which dates to seven centuries ago, contemporary with the King, and a number of Buddhist items in the main temple hall, of great antiquity (in gallery). The temple hall is particularly attractive.
