This Benchmark is to your left as you exit the southbound rest area. There is no witness post but a large bush acts a a good substitute.

11.2 miles north from Parowan. 11.9 miles north along US Highway 91 from the high school at Parowan, Iron County, to a public rest area. 20 feet south of entrance, 55 feet north of cement pond, 85 feet west of center line of US Highway 91, and set in the top of a concrete post.

Interstate Highway 15 has totally changed this description. The structures referenced no longer exist and the setup of the rest area is totally different from the days of US Highway 91.
