This bronze sculpture, which is a little larger than life-sized, stands at the northwest corner of the E.L. Cord Plaza. The E.L. Cord Plaza encompasses the west area of the block that houses the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts.
"A pioneer family composed of a father, mother, and daughter, faces forward. The father stands in the back with his proper left arm around the mother's waist and his proper right hand holding the mother's proper right hand. The mother stands in front of her husband, her proper left hand resting on the daughter's proper left shoulder. The daughter stands in front, holding a bonnet in her proper right hand. All three people are dressed pioneer-style. They stand atop a base with an inscribed plaque."
