This is a small roadside park with just a few tables, and only a clear area for parking. But, the beach is fine here, and a great place to begin snorkeling.

This little beach is probably overlooked by most people on there way to and from Lahaina or the glitzy hotels at Ka'anapali, so you'll see mostly locals here.
This will also probably not show up on the list of prime snorkeling places either, but it is actually quite spectacular. The water is shallow here, but swimming to the outer edges of the reef, one can easily snorkel south to one of the most famous areas on Maui's east side, know as the Coral Garden. There are many charter companies that bring snorkelers here, but this is an easy access point that is free, and if the right time is chosen, the undersea garden will be free of other swimmers. This is also one of the best places to see the famous sea turtles and swim with them.
The park is open from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
