This is a commemorative manhole cover from the 2002 Winter Olympic Games hosted by Salt Lake City, Utah. While the games were hosted in Salt Lake City, some of the hockey events were staged at the Provo Ice Sheet.
This manhole cover has a large Salt Lake City Olympic Logo in the center, along with a smaller International Olympic Logo, below. Above the Salt Lake Logo are the letters "SS" - could be for Storm, or Sewer, or Secret, no clue. The cover also has wording in two rings. The outer ring reads: "Provo City Olympic Ice Hockey Venue". The inner ring reads: "Olympic Winter Games Salt Lake 2002".
This manhole cover is in the street between the Utah County Government Center (to the south) and the former City Library, which happens to be a Carnegie Library, to the northwest.
