If you like the sounds of nature, a lot of solitude, and the majesty of the giant coastal redwoods, then do not miss this National Monument named for the naturalist John Muir. The park has a policy of maintaining quiet serenity for the benefit of wildlife and visitor enjoyment alike. Expect the usual helpful assistance from National Park Service Rangers plus the usual maps, brochures, presentations, etc. usually found at NPS facilities.
