The now defunct factory at this site used to manufacture a high end baby clothing line called "winkies". Their main product and claim to fame was the patent they held and the fabrication of the NuBone Corset. (An undergarment for women) They were in business during the early 1900's.
The ghost sign is located on the south side of the building. it is visible from 26th street. The best vantage point is an alleyway between 25th and 26th street. I took my photos from N 42 07.019, W 80 03.686. Due to the large pot holes in the alley, the best parking is on Ash in the 2500 blk and walk in from there.
