London's Trafalgar Square has two large fountains. One fountain has a sculpture of mermaids by a different artist. This fountain has a 1948 sculpture of a merman and a merboy...with a dolphin and other sea creatures below them. The mouths of the merboy and dolphin serve as spouts for the fountain. This work is by the artist Sir Charles Wheeler.
