Billed as the "the only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to the elite warriors of Naval Special Warfare", the UDT/SEAL museum is located in a building that in the past was the Fort Pierce Treasure Museum. In the 1940s, this area was used for UDT training.

The museum opened in 1985 after a group of retired Navy UDT "Frogmen" led by Albert Stankie gather personal artifacts from World War II and purchased the old treasure museum building to display them. The museum was recognized as a National Museum by an act of Congress signed into law February 7, 2008.

Exhibits include UDT history, training, and actions during World War II, Navy special forces evolution into the current SEAL special forces in Vietnam, citations for every Navy special warfare Medal Of Honor winner, weapons used by Navy SEALs, and outdoor displays such as PBRs and actual underwater obstructions built for UDT training recovered just offshore.

Admission costs $8.
Opening hours: Tues-Sat 10AM - 4PM, Sunday 12 Noon - 4PM, closed Mondays

Open all year: Except for some holidays
