Melin Bompren is a corn mill, built between 1852 and 1853. This mill was built in Cross Inn, near New Quay, Ceredigion, there were once hundreds of similar mills , but alas now there are very few throughout Wales.

The Melin Bompren Corn Mill is typical of a Cardiganshire water-driven mill, built to convert corn into flour. Driven by a complex waterwheel, which you can see in motion, you can watch the process as the grain is transferred through different sections of the mill and into the final product. You can then buy a bag of flour if you wish.
