The building at 107 Howard Street known as the Sentinal Building was built between 1867 and 1871. The building became home to The Sentinal newspaper in 1892 when its previous location on north Front(1st) Street was destroyed. The Sentinal newspaper continued in operation until the 1950s. The two-story brick building is in good condition and is currently home to an antique store.
The building is a contributing building in the Clarksville Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
