Chedi Kukut is one of the major Buddhist sites in the small town of Lumphung. The chedi is easily spotted a little to the east of the city. This is an ancient chedi, possibly dating from the 8th century, however, of interest here, on the eastern side of the chedi is a line of bells. As is the accepted practise, visitors to the chedi can ring these bells (and have their photo taken).
