• Dráchovský jez casto bývá prezdíván coby „jez smrti“ pro velké nebezpecí, které predstavuje pro vodáky a koupající se návštevníky.

• Parabolický tvar jezu zaprícinuje, že voda padající pres korunu tvorí pod jezem mohutné vývarište už pri stredním prutoku. To ciní z jezu vodní past, která pripravila o život už víc než pet vodáku. U jezu mužete videt pomnícky upomínající na nekteré utonulé.

• U pravého brehu má jez sportovní propust. Ta však kvuli konstrukcní chybe bývá za vyšších prutoku nesjízdná.

• Na levém brehu jezu je bývalý mlýn, v nemž dnes funguje malá vodní elektrárna.

• This weir is sometimes called as "The weir of dead" because there is really big danger of back-tow for canoeist and bathers.

• The parabolic shape of the weir causes that water falling over the crown forms strong undercurents below the weir.

• It makes from the weir very dangerous water trap which has already killed more than five canoeist. Beside the weir there is some memorials of this tragedies.

• By the right bank there is a small sluice for canoes. Unfrtunately, This sluice is impassable due to constructional failures.

• On the left bank there is a building of former mill. Today this building is used like small hydroelectric power plant.
