In the heart of Kihei, on south Maui, is this large and popular park with numerous recreation facilities and a stretch of the island's finest beach.

Nearly 37 acres are included in this marvelous park. In addition to a lot of open green space and vegetation there are a variety of recreational facilities, including:
3 baseball fields
4 tennis courts
2 basketball courts
1 skateboard park
1 inline hockey rink
There are five sets of restrooms, picnic pavilions, and four parking lots with spaces for nearly 300 cars.
Near the center of the park is a large sculpture of a humpback whale (this is one of the prime habitats) which is a well known landmark for giving directions and for a meeting point. So, this has been chosen as the location of the coordinates for this park.
Of course, all of these things don't compare to the wonderful stretch of fine sandy beach, warm water, and glorious sunsets. The very best of Maui!
