Kalama Park runs for nearly 37 acres in the center of Kihei in Maui. There are many recreational facilities here from baseball fields, to skateparks and tennis courts. Of course, nothing compares to the long stretch of beach here, and the wonderful sunsets!
There is a small unnamed stream that runs through the middle of the park, and this arch bridge crosses it. The two abutments are made of stone, with a metal center span completing the arch. The appearance is a bit incongruous, so one may speculate that at one time the entire bridge may have been made of stone. But, being a tourist, that would only be a guess.
