According to some brief information I found, David Potts was born between 1742 and 1757 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania. His headstone indicates his date of birth as 1756. He died on May 27 1837 in Marion, Ohio. He was buried in Quarry St. Cemetery, Marion, Marion Co., Ohio. He served in the Revoluntary army, in the Virginia Continental Line. On June 10, 1819, he was granted a soldier's pension. His age was then given as 77 years. He moved to Ohio and settled on Paint Creek, about five miles below Chilicothe. He subsequently removed to Marion County, Ohio where He was married to Permilla "Milly" Adams.
