On a clear day you can see Jervaux Abbey, Great Whernside hill, Fountains Abbey and local towns. In immediate view are the gliders from Yorkshire Gliding Club who have a grass airfield further south on the top.

Sutton Bank, Thirsk. Visit during daylight hours. Car parking opposite in pay and display car park, beside A170. Cafe and visitor centre (not open all year)
