In the Newton Centre section of Newton, along Centre Street, is the Trinity Episcopal Church.

The church is located at the corner of Centre Street and Homer Street. The short end of the sanctuary faces Centre Street, where a sign is also placed. Wooden doors are both at the end, and off to the side, facing Homer Street and likely the parish house. The short end features a large stained-glass window. The sides have two levels of windows and spires. The rear contains the church offices and the fellowship hall. The church is made with a light stone.

In 1889, a group of worshipers came together and held the first Episcopal service in Newton, in a rented hall. They built a wooden structure soon afterward. On May 13, 1915, the cornerstone for the present building was laid. George R. Chickering was the architect. Parish members Robert Casson and John Evans, well known woodworker and stoneworker, respectively, helped in completing the church. The first service held in the church was April 16, 1916.

The church web site has the following about the congregation: "Parishioners are encouraged and actively share in many church and fellowship activities, including serving on organizational committees, choir, teaching, Altar Guild, outreach and numerous charities, counting offerings, holiday events, workshops, pot luck dinners, as well as seasonal outings like the annual summer picnic and autumn apple picking!"
