St James church was originally a C of E church. This building was built in 1902, possibly replacing the original building on the site. The archway over the gate entrance looks to be original and much older. Newly built church was dedicated to St James and later sold to the Roman Catholic Church: now Our Lady and St James Roman Catholic church.
