The Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary and Education Center is an important preserve for the habitat of the humpback whale at this location, and for all of the Hawaiian islands. There is a visitor's center here (open 10am - 3pm M-F all year), a viewing platform with binoculars, and interpretive signs.
