This Marker to the Battery G, 1st Missouri Light Artillery at Wilder’s Tower (tour stop 6) Vittetoe-Chickamauga Rd. in the Chickamauga National Military Park. The marker is located in the woods, north of the tower.

This monument for the
Battery G, 1st Missouri Light Artillery is in recognition of their service during the
Battle of Chickamauga, fought September 19–20, 1863. This is the only monument to the Battery G, 1st Missouri Light Artillery on the battlefield. The Battery G, 1st Missouri Light Artillery was organized St. Louis, Missouri from the 1st Missouri Infantry, and mustered into Federal service on September 1, 1861.
