The Moore House, constructed in 1871, is a two-story Italianate whitewashed brick building formerly on a 200-acre farm. The house is set back off Highway US11 with a great view of the mountains.

History relays that J.W.R. (Jack) Moore was a successful farmer of wheat, corn, and apples. He served in a confederate light artillery company during the US Civil War.
