Athens Cemetery is a beautiful cemetery on the west side of Arkansas. A large arch entrance gives the name of the cemetery (Athens Cemetery) the year it was established (1900) and the words "In Memory/God bless our loved ones". A brick support wall is at the base of each of the arch sides.

There are approximately 3,000 burials here, and this cemetery has more flowers on graves than any place I have ever seen. It is absolutely gorgeous! There are lots of trees and the cemetery is well maintained.
