Long Description:
Located in the Corvo Island, the tiniest of the Azorean archipelago, this 2-km-wide caldera centered on the north side of the island is the most prominent feature of Corvo.
The caldera floor contains several small cinder cones and two shallow irregularly shaped lakes.
From this view point, about 560 m above sea level, has fabulous views down to the 300 m deep crater bottom. Unfortunately, a clear view of the lakes can be a rare event due to the clouds that often hover over the crater.
The lakes and the bottom of the crater can be reached by foot, the trail head is located at the same coordinates.
